  just watch the movie "contact" and it gave me an idea.. our population on earth today 8-9 billion, a day where all of mankind pray, beseech,.

  plead for god to show us a sign that he is still up there.

  Looking Back in Retrospect to 1995 ...

  i very much enjoyed reading through titch's thread: 'looking back in retrospect to 1975 ...' and all the comments from posters that lived through that event and remembered it.. i was born in 1979, so had nothing to offer for that thread.. however, i do remember very clearly living through 1995 (the end of the 1914 generation) and remember how it affected me and my view of the wts.

  up until oct/nov 1995, i genuinely believed the society to be god's one true earthly organisation.

  the watchtower presenting the new meaning of generation seriously shook my faith in the wts and, i suppose, started me on my journey to ttatt.

  The Watchtower has admitted many times in their publications that over 40,000 Jehovah’s Witnessess are disfellowshipped every year.

  And for what?

  Unrepentant gross sins like Adultery and fornication.

  UNREPENTANT GROSS SINS!!!!

  That doesn’t include the thousands who don’t get caught for pedophilia until years later.

  when you were attending the kingdom halls did you see feuds and hate filled wars against members working on the new personality?

  how strong were the elders in keeping their halls filled with love not hatred, jesus said everyone would be filled with love, there was no room for hatred in jesus christ's view of how christians ought to act!

  when you see children shunning parents, parents shunning children, aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpas displaying qualities jesus said were "instant tickets to hell" why do the jws keep attending the meetings if their filled with hate?

  after a few months of lurking on this site, i've decided to take the plunge...i don't really care so much about introducing myself, but somehow there is some relief in the thought of getting my little story out there, just getting it out of my system.

  Welcome, things will get easier and clearer as you get older. In the meantime stay away from the Watchtower, they will just stunt your growth as a thinking person. And start enjoying your life without the constant fear of guilt or the feeling that you are displeasing God. That feeling has been implanted in you by the WT. It takes a while to get rid of it.

  It wouldn't be as easy to get in bed with a younger sister but the older ones are "burning with desire" and are easier prey.

  I think that is true also. Those old sisters already have the experience and know what spots to touch without making it into fornication.

  One thing these brothers have in common is they don’t have good jobs. But all the sisters have jobs good enough to support a husband.

  The religion has taken thier balls away, now they have no confidence in themselves, so they will settle for anyone that asks.

  Actually I was thinking the same thing CG. I'm not knocking age difference, I have no problem with that but when I see the choices available, it just makes no sense.
